Thus, you can imagine how mad I was when I arrived home from work on Friday, drove towards my gate and saw this half-flat, brown, spiky lump in the middle of the road. "Arrrgggghhhh!" I shouted at it, "you stupid, stupid hedgehog!" I parked my car in the drive and stomped back up the road. I was still shaking my head and ranting, "How could you be so stupid? After my efforts to keep you safe all summer and you go and run out in front of a car in broad daylight." I reached the little spiky brown lump and stared at it as if I was hoping for an answer to my questions about its stupidity. Then a big smile spread across my face and I looked round sheepishly, hoping that noone had witnessed or heard my outburst. The little spiky brown lump was left on the road by a horse.

Jackie has successfully captured the trials and triumphs of being owned by Terriers. Her book is a wonderful read and you will be sorry to reach the end! It's a geniune pleasure to read about the life experiences of a dedicated dog owner. I purchased copies for my friends!
A diary of events that happen when you live with an Airedale Terrier (and in this case a Welsh Terrier too)! Anyone who owns an Airedale and appreciates their outlook on life will enjoy reading the antics and adventures of Mr Mac, Mahri and Elle.
I am currently reading this book. I helps me in the grieving process after the loss of my special Airedale, Rocky.
I think I would have gone crazy with two puppies and a new dog at the same time. We have two Airedales< I can sympathize.
Rather on the amateurish side of writing.
Having had Airedales in my home for 21 years, this book could have been an account of my household and the joy of having Airedales in it. I laughed and cried my way through. I highly recommend this book for anyone that has, had, or is thinking of having an Airedale ( or more than one ) in their home.
This book is pure delight. Jackie McGuinne has a gift for describing the reasons life with a terrier is merrier, well if you can handle living with a dog who is probably smarter then you. It's evident Jackie is wise enough to outsmart two Airedales and a Wild Welsh Terrier. I was crushed when the story ended, I sure hope another book is being crafted by now.
If you own dogs you will love this book. It will make you feel better about your own dogs, your training trials - failures and successes, your frustrations, and the ultimate joy dogs bring.
